Have questions? We have answers!
What Is the dress code for the wedding?
Our wedding will be a black-tie affair! We kindly ask that men wear a black tuxedo and women wear a floor-length dress. The ceremony and reception will both be hosted indoors.
what is the welcome party dress code?
Cocktail attire! For the ladies, short, midi, casual maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates are all great options. For the men, dress pants and blazers are preferred, but no need for a tie! Weather permitting, the party will be hosted outside.
WHEN SHOULD I RSVP?
Please RSVP by April 1, 2024. If we do not receive an RSVP back by April 1, it will be marked "no."
We will miss you celebrating with us, however we need to provide a final guest count to our venue and vendors within a timely manner!
can I bring a plus one?
We would love to share our special day with as many people as possible, but due to venue restrictions, we are unable to accommodate additional plus ones not specifically listed on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding!
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?
We are looking forward to having our guests relax and enjoy an evening of celebration—our wedding weekend will be an adult-only occasion. We politely request no children.
DO THE VENUES HAVE PARKING?
Parking lots at Second Presbyterian Church can be found behind the church at the corner of John St. and Elizabeth St., as well as on-street parking to the side of the church on Charlotte St. Cars cannot be left overnight at the church.
South Carolina Society Hall does not have on-site parking. However, there are parking garages located a few blocks from Society Hall should you choose to drive. We highly recommend utilizing the shuttles that will pick up and drop off at Second Presbyterian Church.
WILL YOU HAVE TRANSPORTATION FOR THE GUESTS?
We will have shuttles that take our guests from the ceremony to South Carolina Society Hall. At the end of the evening, shuttles will take guests back to Second Presbyterian Church. Uber/Lyft are also widely available in Charleston.
What time should we arrive for the ceremony?
Please plan to be seated in the church by 4:50 p.m. at the latest as our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. If you know us, you know we tend to live by the phrase of early is on time, and on time is late!
Am I allowed to take photos during the day?
Join us in being fully present and allow our photographers to capture the day. Please plan to turn off your phones during our ceremony and first dance. We want to see all of your smiling faces instead of your phones! We will be happy to share our professional wedding photos at a later date!
